The research at EMB Lab integrates Chemistry and Biology in the realms of Microbial Biochemistry bringing in the hidden traits and exploring the extreme microbes for understanding their molecular and structural adaptations and life processes. Further, we aim to exploit them for various biotechnological applications.

The key focus areas of EMB Lab are:

(i) Extremophiles and their Enzymes                         (ii) Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

(iii) Environmental Bioremediation                           (iv) Microplastics and Nano-plastics

(v) Nanomaterials for Enzyme Immobilization and Nano-delivery

(vi) Biobased Platforms for Chemicals
